Billing                           Fees

Congratulations! You have just moved into (or have been living in) one of the friendliest and most picturesque parts of Illinois, but then we are very biased. We live here too and are extremely proud of the area.

To receive service from WIEC, you should call our office during normal business hours (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  weekdays).  We require all new members to sign a membership application and pay a $5.00 nonrefundable membership fee.  This is a lifetime membership and will be good at any location WIEC serves.  We also require a deposit.  That deposit will be credited to your account after 12 consecutive months of on-time payments. It's simple-pay your bill on time for one year and you will get your deposit back.

We are currently changing over to AMR (Automated Meter Reading) where the reading are read and automatically sent to the office at the end of the month.  Bills are mailed around the 10th of the month and payment is expected on the 25th of each month.

Payments may be mailed, brought into the office, or placed in our convenient drop box in the driveway.  Members may also pay with a credit/debit card by calling our office and giving their number.  We ask that cash payments be placed in the drop box on the side of our building.

If payment is not received, a 5% penalty is added and a delinquent notice is sent.  These are due around the 10th of the following month.  (EX- a bill is due January 25th, the delinquent would be due February 10th.) Non-payment of this notice may result in disconnection of service. If members are having trouble paying their bills, assistance is available
