Electric Heat Rate

WIEC offers an electric heat rate of 5 cents per kilowatt for other kinds of heat besides geothermal that are 5KW in size  This may include baseboard heat, ceiling heat, or radiant floor heat.  The rate applies during the months of October through April.  In order to meter the kilowatts eligible for the rate, WIEC must install a second meter.  There is a $2 monthly charge for this meter during the months October through April.   

 
WIEC offers a $300 rebate for members who install a new electric heating system that is in a  home or business served by WIEC. 
 

WIEC members may also apply for an ERC loan for assistance in financing their new system.
